"How does the boy/girl thing work on tour? Does it make things easier or tougher?” I ask, clutching at straws. I’m almost ready to ask them who their influences are. Chris tells me that Todd (the singer, who lives out of town) says having girls in the band keeps the ‘thug mentality’ down. Then Chris says that the four of them are like family – the Manson family. We laugh the desperate laugh of the doomed.
I ask about the recent deal that saw their first CD, Expression in Laymen’s Terms, released on vinyl, and they thank Railroad Pete and Danarchy of Out Of Tune Records in Seattle for making it happen.
I wrap it up by asking if they think that punk bands have any business meddling in politics, and Erin says that it is an artist’s responsibility to shed light on the injustice of the world. Chris nods vigourously and it’s good to see them in agreement.
